1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Aviation English (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Aviation English is an aviation English exam preparation application that helps users practice the English language skills assessed in aviation language proficiency examinations. The App records your spoken responses, converts them to text, and uses artificial intelligence to analyze your speech and provide feedback. Practice is organized around the six language proficiency areas commonly used in aviation English assessment:

  1. Pronunciation — Practice and feedback on stress, rhythm, and intonation as they affect intelligibility.
  2. Structure — Practice and feedback on grammatical structures and sentence patterns relevant to aviation communication.
  3. Vocabulary — Practice and feedback on range and accuracy of vocabulary, including aviation-related terminology.
  4. Fluency — Practice and feedback on the natural flow, pace, and continuity of speech.
  5. Comprehension — Practice and feedback on understanding spoken aviation English in routine and non-routine contexts.
  6. Interactions — Practice and feedback on responding appropriately, confirming, clarifying, and maintaining exchanges.

3. Important Disclaimer

Aviation English is a training and practice tool only. The App is:

  • NOT an official ICAO language proficiency test, ELPAC, TEA, RELTA, or any other certified aviation English assessment.
  • NOT affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to ICAO, any civil aviation authority, airline, examination body, or selection body.
  • NOT a predictor or guarantee of your score or outcome in any actual aviation English proficiency examination.
  • NOT an official rating against the ICAO language proficiency scale, and any scores or levels shown are indicative practice estimates only.

The feedback provided by the App is generated automatically by artificial intelligence. It may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies and should be treated as practice guidance, not as an authoritative or official evaluation of your language ability. The practice content is designed for personal study and self-improvement purposes only.

4. Free Credits and Pro Purchase

4.1 Free Credits

New users receive 6 free practice credits. Each practice session consumes one credit, regardless of whether the session is completed. Credits are stored locally on your device and persist across app reinstalls.

4.2 Aviation English Pro

Users may purchase an upgrade (“Aviation English Pro”) to unlock unlimited practice sessions. This purchase is processed through the Apple App Store.

4.3 Refunds

All purchases are subject to Apple’s App Store refund policies. We do not process refunds directly. To request a refund, please visit Apple Support.

5. Microphone and Voice Processing

The App requires access to your device’s microphone to record your spoken responses for speaking practice. By using the speaking features, you consent to your audio being recorded and processed — including transmission to third-party speech-to-text and artificial intelligence providers — for the purpose of generating transcripts and feedback. You should not record any sensitive, confidential, or personal information you do not wish to be processed in this way. 6. Intellectual Property

All content in the App — including but not limited to software code, user interface design, graphics, icons, practice prompts, and text — is the intellectual property of the developer and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.

The feedback generated for you is provided for your personal use. The language proficiency framework referenced by the App is based on publicly available aviation standards. The specific implementations, visual designs, prompts, and user experience are original works.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any systems or data
  • Reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App
  • Misrepresent feedback or scores from the App as an official aviation English proficiency rating
  • Submit audio that infringes the rights of others or that contains unlawful content

8. Limitation of Liability

The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • We do not warrant that the App will be error-free or uninterrupted.
  • We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any AI-generated transcript or feedback.
  • We are not liable for any decisions made based on feedback or scores from the App.
  • We are not responsible for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the App.
  • Total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the App (if any).

9. References and Standards

The language proficiency areas used in the App are based on the publicly available aviation English standards published by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO):

This App is an independent practice tool and is not produced, reviewed, or endorsed by ICAO.

10. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date at the top. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Turkey, without regard to conflict of law principles.
